Any middle suited connectors really. They seem to have an uncanny way of attracting the cards needed to win. Not to mention just for the outs advantage over high pocket pair. The problem I have with pocket pair is that there are only 2 cards left in the deck to help you. Unless you're planning on getting 4 cards for a straight or trips OTB for a boat. It does happen and yes often, but I just like prefer the connectors.

I have had great success with suited 78 and suited 8 10. I will play them for raises too because you can catch your opponent on overs when you make two pair or the perfect straight. Hands like this give you lots of options and are easy to lay down if you miss the flop and can make you a big pot when you hit the flop hard. Tought to put someone on an 810 for a raise.

From a late-middle to late position I do like to play suited low-medium connectors 78, 89 etc. but one hand I play from any position is KJ, it's like my Elenore from gone in 60 seconds..can cause you alot of problems but when it hits it's a beautiful thing.

I love pocket 8's, I have a 75% ratio of hitting a set with them which is quite interesting...
