Is it just me or does it seem that on most sites alot of the same cards come up together? I have noticed that if you fold 7/2 off suit and it would be the winner, you can play it again and it still be the winner. I have seen this many times crack pocket pairs and it makes me sick. Am I just seeing things or is this really happening?

I've had situations where I am playing 2 different sites, and the same cards come up on the flop. This was disturbing to see happen.

It just seems to me like alot of the same cards come up and those rags are winners alot of the times. I have found this in alot of buy ins as well as freerolls. Seems like alot of the same cards keep coming up.

I know there were some serious flaws in the early RNGs - Check this out but I also know that things have moved on apace. The latest RNGs use miniscule mousemovements of the players involved in the game as heir random factor - this MUST be impossible to predict. The link above is genuine, the details can be confirmed easily by anyone with the inclination to seacrh around it a bit. Funny really that by publishing their RNG to demonstrate how fair the shuffles were, they managed to open their system to a bunch of clever folk with a better understanding of computing. Also, we only have their word to take for the fact that they didn't use it on the money tables, I know I'd have been damned tempted :-)

In another lifetime I was a casino dealer, dealing our beloved hold'em. I can tell you from experience that the cards that come up seem so unreal. I believe that it has to do with the amopunt of hands you see on a daily basis. Being a dealer I saw 30-45 hands an hour and for 8-10 hours a day 5-6 days a week, you do the math. I have seen "the only card" come on the river to bust "that guy's nuts" and even a royal flush on the community board. Percentages are one thing, but freakish hands are online as well as IRL. Having said that I watch my folded 7-2 become the winning hand more than any other hand that I constantly fold. Odd, but it is just one of those things.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope to break even this week. I need the money.
