there's a $7000 freeroll and a $1000 freeroll starting shortly, the registration for the $7000 has been open for the last 24 or so hours and there's only 3500 or so registered, registration for the $1000 freeroll was full within 10 minutes, the 1k starts at 6pm(UK) and the 7k an hour later 7pm,(UK), if you were registering for 1 why not the other when they are together in the lobby?

The 7k is only for the site. the 1k is for all off prima network. thanks for clearing that up,makes sense now,lol however there were 14,000 people on the site ye'd think being a freeroll and the size of the prize it would fill up quickly.

Yeah, I've been wondering about some tournaments like that myself. Gotta read the fine print. Even with 3500 its too many for me for a free roll. #'s in freerolls are bad, while #'s in buy0ins are good. People seem to forget that simple fact.

I dont think it follows that players in freerolls are poor and players in tournements with an entry fee are good.

There are good and bad players in both freerolls and buy ins, Just in freerolls there lots of numpties who dont care coz it cost them nothing. Once they are out you can have a good game.

In freerolls, you'll also find players who aren't good enough in their own minds to play buyins, people who don't really try to play their A games because they didn't pay anything, etc. So yes, it's not automaic that everyone in an open freeroll is mediocre or poor, but don't be surprised if quite a few are.
Cheers!

Agreed, early on in freerolls there are lots dumpers trying to get chips so they can last. Most times they are weaker players, who have no real ability other than the threat of an all in bet. And also, the fact that for no money you can make a nice piece of change that may start you on a new roll. On the sites I currently play, I have taken money from freerolls and made almost 1K. No great amount of money but of note though is that I have also never made a deposit to any poker site. Playing for free right now is my only goal. Good luck all
