I Like tourneys better, NL better than PL or Fixed. I like the intensity of high pressure situations which involve either all of your or your opponents chips.

I definitely find tourny's better than cash games because my style of play is geared towards tournys. I have problems with holding onto any big pots I make in cash games. I win one and then lose it all back over the course of the evening. I can definitely make more money from a tourny than live... but I would like to develop both skills..

The money tables are just too abusive...LOL!! To me, the tourneys pay more with less fees. The regular games are more costly.

I try to play both. With my small bankroll a couple of tournys without a win would hurt too much right now. So I play small stakes cash games so I can play a couple of tournys. Earlier this year it was the exact opposite. Would win at tourny take a portion to a cash table and it would just vanish. Good luck

I like tournaments more, so that's what I predominantly play. However, on a per hour basis, I make a fair bit more playing ring games.
Cheers!

i think the players that like to play the tourneys are a little looser players . its easy to put all your chips in the pot when the buy ins are small

When its free or someone else its always easy to play wild, but make it your own money and that all changes.

I play tournements, sit and gos, and ring games, and I make more money from sit and gos. I do ok at ring games but I seem to have huge swings in fortunes.

i don''t have a very deep stack, so i like turneys better, because you dont have to risk half your stack on a single hand :) that said, som people in cash games are SO weak, thats rather nice too :)

Tournaments, of course. Much more interesting than limit game. I'm not sure if it's more profitable than limit, though.

And I would say 30 buy ins is a must if you want to enter an MTT!!! KJ
