everyone thinks different about strategybut i keep experience this. When i go all in with AK, i win almost every time, but if i play with AK regularly a game and/if rais, i loose almost always from an A and lower card or K and lower card. I find that amazing, no matter how i play the game. Maybe someone has the same, and i'm happy to let me know . Am i doing something wrong? i think not but if so let me know

If your top pair A or K is facing significant resistance then slow down a bit. Remeber, usually you have only one pair, and many times one pair just is not good enough at showdown. It is all very read dependant though. - Against a very tight passive player, if he has not folded by the turn card then look out! - Against a loose aggressive player, I will play for stacks (sometimes) with top pair. - Against a tricky thinking aggro player I play very cautiously....(I tend to avoid these types as much as possible) It's a very situation based hand. Sometimes I will fold it pre-flop, and sometimes I will push all-in on the flop.

ahm...AK preflop, you NEVER limp or makes a small raise....be agressive.¬† You have a monster hand pre-flop, and u have to do this to keep out the K2 K3 K4, etc... a passive move in this case isn't a big deal

It's a very good hand, but often needs to improve.  You also have to know how your table is playing.

I am not a fan of slow playing any premium starting hand, and that includes AK. Narrow the feild and you should win more.

a large raise 3to 5 X the big blind the reason u win when u AK is a premium hand and deserves a big raise the reason u win when u go all in is usually everyone folds or u get 1 caller u lose when u limp cause u give everyone a cheep flop i wouldnt raise all in preflop unless i was extremely short stacked or raised by an extremely aggressive player

Yes I agree you should raise pre flop with AK but I would only go all in if shortstacked because at the end of the day you only have ace high with top kicker not a made hand.
If you can't spot the fish at the table, get up and leave because it's probably you!!

normally when pairing your ace or king with ak you are good for the win depending on how many plrs in the pot

Hmm, I don't really like AK anymore. I played sit n goes 100 lately and I went to analyze my game. Guess what: AKs is the biggest loser, then AKo. I took a look at all hands, specially at the hands where I went all in preflop. Won only 30%. But at the same time AQ(72%) is one of the most profitable after AA(90%),KK(76%)   Now I play AK more carefully. I even folding preflop, which I was never doing before!

Ok Ak is good starting hand pre flop, i wouldnt call it a monster since is underdog to pocket 8`s, worst thing u can do i overplay any hand and ppl tend to overplay this hand even if they miss on a flop. Its a decent hand for a push in tournaments after blinds go up,but i never overplay it in cash games
