Since Gus Hansen hit rock bottom in mid-October, reaching -$3.6 million in losses in 2010, he didn't stop playing.  In fact he stepped up the pace of his play.  He has been on a tear since then. He is now down only $1.9 million, which represents a $1.7 million dollar swing in the last 3 weeks.

He has had high profile matches against DrugsOrMe, David Benefield, Ziigmund and others.  This past weekend alone, he continued his comeback playing 3,301 hands while killing his competition winning a total of $279,531.

His key opponents included Ziigmund at $500/$1,000 Heads-Up Pot-Limit Omaha and David Benefield in the same game. Hansen also recorded some hands of $200/$400 PLO against DIN_FRU, Arbianight and Sauce1234.

At this pace, he could erase all his losses this year over the final two months if he keeps up his heater.

On the other end of variance, Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies has been in the opposite freerall the last month or so.  He has lost roughly $1.7 million, to a variety of opponents.  Known for his swings, Illari is another player prone to go on big winning and losing stretches.  Playing high stakes PLO is not for the weak of heart or bankroll.
