I may only be 27, but I can't help but catch myself telling my kids "Way back when I was a kid fuel was less than a dollar!" And of course my 11 year old say of course "Oh Dad, you're just old...." I can't help but think I may really be old.
Gimme your chips or I'll beat you with a dead cat... No really, gimme your chips!

When I was a kid, my folks could put a full tank in a station wagon for 10 bucks.

When I was a kid you could fill up for $5 and all the cars had tanks with at least 20 gallons. cigartettes were 33cents a pack I bought my first car (an oldsmobile) in 1973 and it was $2850.

Jeff: When you pay for gas with a big bill, and get alot of change do you often find that you get paid with an American nickle? I've litterally got a milk jug full of canadian change that I've got back as change over the years.

I'm only 18 and I remember when gas was under $1. The lowest it was since I've been able to drive was like 1.49 but still thats a huge change for 2 years.
